GARLIC is very well-known throughout the world for it’s insect repelling capabilities. This natural feed additive releases a compound called allicin. Allicin is excreted through the pores of the animal. Some studies show up to a 56% reduction in external parasites.
WHY DO WE RECOMMEND GARLIC?
1. Flies Don’t Like GARLIC
2. GARLIC is all-natural, so it fits in with even the most complex
feeding operations for cattle, horses, sheep & goats
THE FACTS ABOUT FLY CONTROL
Blood feeding flies are a serious problem when it comes to having non-
stressful animals. These flies require up to 30 blood meals per day!
OUCH! So instead of having a regular day of gaining weight on a
routine, it causes the animals to bunch together in pastures, stand in
water and stomp their legs, licking, kicking and constantly swat flies. By
adding GARLIC to their feed, flies are repelled, allowing that animal to
gain faster and produce better.
Not only do face flies cause damage to the eye for diseases to enter
the host, but anytime an animal has even just a little scratch on their
eye, Face flies carry those diseases that result in pink eye. Garlic alters
the way the animal tastes and smells so they find other hosts.
